Rogers County, formerly an important section of the northwest part of the Cherokee Nation, contains approximately 700 sq. miles of land, nearly all of which is well adapted to raising all the staple crops of this latitude.

Rogers County has excellent natural resources, as well as a good agricultural location to farm and raise crops. Oil can be found in numerous places in the county, at the depth of not more than 500 ft. Rogers County oil production is not limited to any one neighborhood.

Rogers County is especially favored with an almost inexhaustible supply of natural gas. Claremore, Chelsea, Foyil and Oologah has for years been supplied by local gas only.

This county has an excellent established public school system of over 41 schools in the districts, as well as a four year university(Rogers State) in the county seat of Claremore.
